Janine Iron and Washing Museum
The museum consists of more than 640 laundry irons, mostly rare and some the only existing examples left. Also more than 50 rare washing machines and mangles dating back from the 1800s, some are claimed to be of the only remaining in the world. The museum is packed with other rare antique laundry related items. Even other non-laundry related items are a must to see, as a kudu skull with horn that grew right through the skull.
A video of about 25 minutes that took you through the ages of time demonstrating and giving the interesting history of these items before viewing them, leaves you with information you should not be without.

Dias Museum Complex
The dynamic Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex encompasses a wealth of places of historical interest. The most famous of these are possibly the Old Post Office Tree. This massive milkwood tree - more than 500 year`s old - was the very one under which Pedro de Ataide left an important letter in a shoe in 1500.
