A difficult route, featuring a steep down-hill section into the valley. The bushveld scenery makes this one of the most spectacular races in the province.

Gold medals are awarded to category winners, silver medals to the next 50 men and women finishers respectively, and bronze to the next 300 finishers. There is a lucky draw.
