Be swept away to a farm life, scenic views and the possibility of the silence broken by lion’s roar. A short circular route of approx. 2 km with challenging slopes. The route will start at the homestead where art and farm products (in season) can be bought. On the way we descend moderately while viewing young Macadamia trees and farm animals. We pass our self-catering cottages overlooking a dam (bird viewing). We ascend with a moderate, but long hill towards the lion enclosure. Enjoy beautiful views with coffee and rusks (morning walk) or a glass of wine and a canapé (afternoon walk). Opportunities to see game such as impala, zebra, waterbuck, nyala and buffalo depending on where they roam and great expectation that our three lions will be awake and friendly to welcome you. We make our way back to the homestead hoping for possible surprises such as vervet monkeys, a bushbuck or the Knysna Loerie.
