Keep Fin Alive and Oceans Research are partnering for World Ocean’s Day, to organise two beach cleans. All locals and visitors to the area, are invited to participate.
Plastic pollution is a growing, worldwide problem, with over eight million tonnes of harmful plastic entering our oceans annually. We want to keep our coastline beautiful and our marine life safe.
Meeting time: 9am for a 9.30am start.
The Point – in front of Delfinos
Dias Beach – main car park
Bags will be provided.
Please bring hand sanitiser or reusable gloves.
Coffee / tea will be provided to participants, following the clean up.
Participants are encouraged to take photos during the event, and post them to social media using the hashtag #WorldOceansDayMB.
NB: Latex gloves will not be provided as they are not recyclable and add to the plastic pollution problem.
